School Cottage was built around 1850 of Cornish stone and slate and was used as a school until 1905. Now it has been converted into two very attractive cottages.Inside there is a light and airy feel, with a wood burning stove, chapel-style roof beams and lovely soft furnishings which add to the overall charm.

Little Petherick is a delightful Cornish village with slate hung, pastel coloured houses sheltering at the head of the Petherick Creek and is very close to Padstow.
The village has a beautiful Church, Hotel Inn Bistro and Molesworth Manor (which is excellent for cream teas) all within easy walking distance.

Near by - 2 miles from School Cottage lies the picturesque medieval fishing port of Padstow. The unspoilt town has many pubs and restaurants nestled in it's warren of narrow streets and alleys, including Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurant. There are many attractions including sailing, tennis, horse riding, deep sea fishing, speed boat rides, bicycle hire and wind surfing.

The golden sands of Harlyn bay are close by and this beach is one of the safest for children. There are also 6 other bays within a 5 mile radius. The golf club at Trevose head has three courses, a championship 18, a short and a long 9 hole course. The numerous cliff walks and panoramic views around this area are truly magnificent.
